Sorry but the supermodel show logo is not the same as the Aperture Science logo...

Supermodel show logo - 7 sections

Yes they are very similar, but the logo is a basic stylized camera aperture and it isn't far-fetched to think that more than one person could come up with the same idea.

Nice find though.

I don't remember seeing it by itself in the original levels either (it's a long time since I have played them), but the Aperture logo without the "A" in it is an overlay available to you when making a map for Portal in Hammer. I have used it in my map too.
