Best Game
Quote from SnakeRX on December 27, 2008, 1:18 amI have played a large majority of the Final Fantasy games, my favorite being Final Fantasy 7, but I play a lot of RPG's and Final Fantasy games have a lot of issues.
The most prominent being the issue already mentioned: "oooh oh... I can't open this door without the key. Even though it has a window and I could probably climb through it... but this guy says he wont give me the key unless I go kill his ex girlfriends dog... and I can't kill him because he is magically invincible." But one of my most irritating experiences with Final Fantasy games is that you get these bad ass spells and abilities that cost way too much to use regularly and yet all the bosses are immune because they would make the boss fight tactical.
I love RPG's though, I'd recommend Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion or Neverwinter Nights (the original). If you want some kind of new age hybrid RPG I would go for Dead Space or Mass Effect, which are both good on story though. I'd avoid WoW like the plague (yes I've played the game).
Anyway... off on a tangent. My FAVORITE game? Well that is really going to make me dig into the past. I could give you my top 5?
No I think that'd be too hard too.

Quote from Ricotez on January 1, 2009, 9:42 amOne RPG I liked, especially 'cause it's partially a F/TPS, is Fallout 3. I can't give a complete opinion about it, though, as my GPU didn't support Shader Model 2.0b.
Yeah, the workarounds were... heavy. Seeing no heads really flattened the overall experience. So if you want to try it, make sure your GPU supports SM2.0b or better, SM3.0, before you buy it.

Quote from CabooseJr on January 1, 2009, 7:27 pmFable II was a fun rpg. I'm not much of a fan of turn based RPGs though, they usually always cheat on me.

Quote from SnakeRX on January 1, 2009, 7:34 pmI really don't stack Fable into the pure RPG category. It is more like an Adventure/RPG hybrid. It is my opinion, but I figured I'd say it anyway.
As for Fallout 3, I do hear fantastic things about that game on almost a weekly basis.

Quote from reepblue on January 1, 2009, 11:40 pmBesides the Earthbound series, I really don't play RPGs. So Earthbound and others in that series are my favorite as for RPG. Great Story for each (Third one was best) and Nice Music.

The more you give, the less appreciated it will be received.

Quote from Ricotez on January 4, 2009, 12:59 pmThere are only two things I can say about HL1:
-Bad graphics, but hey, what do you expect from a 9 year old game. At least even low-end computers can max it out. And I advise you do to so, put all graphics at maximum.
-The best mix of action and puzzle I've ever played. I liked the actual gameplay of Half-Life even better than Half-Life 2.Also, you might want to wait for this:

Quote from SnakeRX on January 4, 2009, 10:37 pmI actually thought the boss battles were the worst part of Half-Life, for me anyway. I was much more sucked into t he atmosphere and the illusion of control that I had as the main character.
Much like with PORTAL (you feel like your doing everything).

Quote from Stylinkyle on January 17, 2009, 7:54 pmMy favorite game would have to be Bioshock. I love that game. It has such a wonderful story and great inginuity for a FPS. If you can't handle blood, stay away, but considering L4D has tons of blood, that shouldn't be an issue. I would also suggest Dead Space. Not as good story, but a lot better horror.
