I'm honestly not really sure how plain anyone can make it... It literally says right in the keyvalues that you can set it to any key binding that you want to.

i was asking a big fat repository of unwritten knowledge, I don't know what everything does like you people obviously do because some lazy ass in valve didn't think it was necessary to finish the wiki for us.
When a student asks the teachers something, the teacher shouldn't treat the student like he already graduated.

Nearly every, if not all, articles in that Developer Wiki are written by people who aren't at Valve as far as I know.
Probably you should contribute a bit there, too?

personally I would have written something alongside the word CONSOLE COMMAND in that description. Half of what hammer is talking about is gibberish to me
You can always edit your FGD to change any of the text. For the commands, you could either check the ingame autocomplete for "+", or see portal2/cfg/config.cfg for all the "bind" commands used to store your key bindings.

that's actually how i figured out several commands, I just didn't know that my keyboard controls were even tied into the console AT ALL. I only just typed in +duck as previously mentioned in this thread to see what would happen and I noticed it worked. I took a wild guess that typing + would pop up something.
I am literally just stumbling upon information just lying around, that's how lazy I am.
