Quote from Xindaris on April 16, 2013, 3:29 pmHey, this is Xindaris. If I'm being perfectly honest, I'm here because I've been making maps and putting them up on the Portal 2 workshop for a while not, and very few if any of them ever got enough people playing them to have ratings. I'm hoping to improve on that, and actually start getting feedback on my maps sometimes. I'd be happy to reciprocate, of course.

Put it on multiple sites, tell your friends. Spread the word!

Quote from Professor Whom on May 1, 2013, 8:42 pmI am Professor Whom. I have been mapping for a few years now, I first started mapping for Portal. Also, I am friends with a few of you guys here if you remember me. I also have been working on 3d modeling for a while, and I know some of the basics of* Javascript, HTML, and *some* lua. I am also Paradoxic R3mix, but I forgot the password, which is quite sad. Well that's it, I am glad to be coming back to this community after such a long time.
I still can't believe I forgot my account password, I also had it linked to an older email, which was hacked. I have since learned to be careful and remember all of my passwords, if anyone was worried.
EDIT: Of, not is.

I've been quietly reading the forums for a few days now, and I came into a bit more spare time recently, so after weighing up a few different games to start on again, decided I'm gonna get back into Portal 2 (at least for a few weeks).
I have a couple of maps made already, but they're just my first few from last year, and obviously as such they are nothing short of gash. Maybe they probably would be pretty decent actually with some further amendment and concentrating on using space more efficiently (you might notice in my maps that I have a tendency towards small complex areas).
Currently working on one that has a few nice puzzles in it (more on a room by room basis this time rather than having just one complicated room, which is probably what most people prefer) and I've got an idea or two hidden away for future ones, so we'll see what happens with that - will link them or something to this forum soon for some well epic feedbax or whatever it is that the cool kids would call it.
Not using Hammer yet, still on the in-game editor, but might well start in Hammer if I decide that it's not overcomplicating matters... (I actually used to make Counterstrike maps in Hammer waaaaay back in the day so I have some experience with it already).
So yeah.
