You should re-code the paint gun that's left over from the power of paint game.
Make it so that you can fire any kind of gel anywhere, but you have to load the gun up with the gel from a paint dropper. But since it's like a squirt gun give it limited ammo and pressure.
I dunno how that'd work but it could be neat, you could make some cool puzzles with that. :3Oh, and the Ice gel is looking cool
*heh*

*heh*Motanum already did that with his "A La Tag" map, it's somewhere in the Download Database.

Quote from FelixGriffin on August 24, 2013, 9:58 amWith the start of classes I can't spend as much time mapping, but here's a new Notepad. I replaced the primary fire on the Multitool since I couldn't get the laser working, so now it fires (to use the technical term) "squiggly fizzleballs." Not perfect, but much prettier than the laser (and more fun).

Quote from CamBen on August 24, 2013, 11:24 amIt looks like your multitool's finc_tank is a bit too close, giving it weird aiming. If you want better aiming, maybe try using track trains to move it back after the player assumes control over it. Also, how'd you get the tank to not deactivate when pressing E? I've gotten that problem quite a lot.

Quote from FelixGriffin on August 24, 2013, 11:37 amIs it too close? It seems to go right, it just doesn't appear straight out of the viewmodel.
As soon as the player activates the tank, I parent it to its control volume and the control volume to the player. That makes it non-solid and gets rid of the deactivating. I still have the problem occasionally, but I edited those ones out of the clip.

It's still a WiP: it only works on walls facing south, and the collisions are glitchy (partway through you see this when I fall into it). But still!
Note: unlike my other gels, this one requires significant effort to put into a map. Every wall and ceiling must be covered by the Adhesion Grid, and all paintable walls must face one of the six cardinal directions. You also can't use Speed or Portal Gel with this, or it'll turn out purple. Bounce Gel is fine, and it's possible to make Speed Gel work at the expense of some of the effects. And finally, since this uses custom particles, it is NOT workshop compatible. Sorry.
EDIT: (I should mention that these rules, except the no-conversion-gel one, only apply to the section where this gel is available.)
That said, it's still pretty fun to play with.
EDIT2: Small improvement, I got gravity to stay vertical when you move rather than following you.
