Firefox 3.0 released!

Page 1 of 2Next

The newest version of the coolest browser is now out. New interface looks groovy and no issues on my end yet, but it's only been like 5 minutes since flawless install. Adblock Plus is working fine and that's all I really care about.

Download here.

please everyone download this today! firefox is trying to set a world record for most people downloading something in a single day. I already downloaded.

I hope I don't have to reinstall all my plugins or redo my theme/customizations.

I downloaded it yesterday, the page was saying HTTP/1.1 Not Available :D
I will install it over my firefox 2 after a month when all the extensions will be available

Test Chamber 74:
(percentage calculation sphere self-test failed!)
108.1% done, -8.1% remaining...
Released here!

All maps for Portal (1/2) worth playing are mirrored here.

Good idea to wait, I installed it last night and half of my extensions haven't been updated for 3.0 yet.

^fixed.

HUUUUGE firefox fan; I was skeptical way back when it first came around being an avid IExplorer BUT highly recommend Firefox to everyone;
specially this new version which streamlines and adds some new features.

I downloaded it that night it came out or when this original post went up and I'm pretty happy with it; so far bug freeeeeeeeee

Well, it lags terribly if I have Steam running in the background...

But that's probably due to my computer.

Didn't have that with FF2, though...

Well, seeing how it comes with the OS that runs on 80% of all home machines, it's all most people know and it since it does get the job done most don't see a need for anything else. I have a friend who didn't even know there any browsers other than IE out there. IE7 is a fine product but I prefer Firefox. It's a more secure browser. Think about it; if you want to infect the most machines possible you attack the most commonly used software. Everyone uses a web browser and most use IE so it gets the most attacks. I also like the features. Firefox has always been innovating these things such as tabbed browsing, ad blockers and a host of other really spiffy add-ons available.

My most compelling reason for choosing Firefox over IE: full W3 compliance.
