First map: Cryo Chamber Release - Need Help!
If you want to just save compile time to just test gameplay mechanics you can just turn off VVIS and play the map in fullbright.

btw: ist there an option to drop the portal gun while playing, to make screenshots without the gun? or an console command to drop the gun?
'r_drawviewmodel 0' hides your gun.
'crosshair 0' hides your crosshair.

He was talking about the search feature of the forum, this question has cropped up several times.
Also, in regards to console commands Google is evidently not your friend, But ten seconds on the Valve Dev Wiki is.

Yeah, if you search the forums and/or the dev wiki, you can find a lot of answers really fast.
