Fizzler texture broken?
Quote from DrummerB on May 6, 2011, 5:19 pmIs the fizzler texture broken? I can't align the texture properly. Is there a way to fix this? Every other texture works.

Quote from CraigChrist on May 6, 2011, 9:32 pmYeah something is wrong with it (at least for me too). I just put some similar texture and aligned it then i just replaced it with the fizzler texture. It doesn't bother me too much to actually spend time trying to make it work right in hammer.

Quote from DrummerB on May 6, 2011, 9:41 pmThe problem is when the "edge" of the fizzler texture is in the middle of the fizzler. If you scale it up enough, the edges will eventually disappear and it will look "ok", but it's still not good imho.

Quote from DrummerB on May 7, 2011, 9:46 amI'm using that. Doesn't that have "edges" too? I'm not sure. Anyway, I'll just leave it as it is right now and recompile when the official SDK is out, or when someone comes up with a solution.

Quote from DrummerB on May 8, 2011, 11:18 amYes, but you can't change where they are. At least I couldn't. The edges (and the texture) seem to align with the world, instead of the brush. Afaik to fizzler projector model is 128 height. So in your map above you could put 3 projectors on each side on top of each other. That would look good. But if you moved the whole fizzler setup 64 units up or down (1 tile) the edges will stay where they are now and be right in the middle of each fizzler projector. I hope you understand what I mean.

EDIT: actually I can fit in 6, 2 for each fizzler section. but that isn't so important.

Quote from Dobioh on May 10, 2011, 2:25 pmYou can just align the texture, using the Texture tool, just select the Brush and press the 'T' for top-alignment, works for me.
