Hammer - 3D view bug
Quote from Pascal40 on January 5, 2009, 8:56 amHi,
I downloaded Hammer Editor a while back and everything worked fine at first. But yesterday, 3D view started to mess up. When I use the texture tool or work at the 2D windows, it seems like the 3D camera is... like "zooming to the left". It keeps on when I move the camera. This effect comes and goes randomly and it's very annoying. Is there any solution?
I have taken a picture of the faulty 3D-view:Also, some of the overlays don't show up in the editor, but in the game.
I use Windows Vista x64, My graphics card is new and so are the drivers. Someone told me not to hit ALT, but I never hit ALT.

Quote from Pascal40 on January 5, 2009, 12:33 pmNevermind, I don't know why, but it works now. Even if it's kinda weird.
But the overlays still don't show up, even if I see them ingame.

Quote from Ricotez on January 5, 2009, 12:56 pmI think you mean the perspective is messed up. Since Hammer shows the 3D-view in perspective instead of isometric, so you get to see your map from actual first person perspective. But when it messes up, you get this. I have no clue what could have caused it, maybe trouble with your GPU?

"Duct Tape is the answer."

But the overlays still don't show up, even if I see them ingame. This happens when you change the brush ID that the overlay is on. Just open the up the overlay properties and select the face selector and make sure that the face for which the overlay is on is red.
