Hazard Liquid questions
Quote from Colkadome on January 6, 2010, 7:15 amThe map I am currently making needs some hazard liquid, so i'm trying to make some. I've managed to make the overlapping textures, but I don't know how to create the smoke ontop, and how to make it allow the player to swim and die in it.
Thanks to any repliers in advance.

Oh.
It seems that there are no more tutorials for this...
I'll make one in our wiki, click the link up the top for "Wiki and tutorials"
EDIT: It is here: http://wiki.thinkingwithportals.com/wiki/Hazard_water

The names near the bottom, starting with "water_mist_" are hazard cloud particle systems of different sizes. If you have a large or irregular body of liquid, you can place multiple particle systems next to each other to cover the whole area. It looks best if you place them so they extend into the sides of the water basin a bit, otherwise the clouds look thinner near the edges.
