Human NPC's, again...
Quote from KyloX on October 18, 2014, 4:49 amI know, I know, this is hardly possible due that Portal 2 doesn't have the codes for it and I might get a dead end on this, but I need closer.
Alright, firstly my situation:
* I got the human models and animations from half life 2.
* Recompiled the model with "crowbar" tool and got it working for Portal 2.
* Fixed the face texture. After that, made some test with this using actor_generic and prop_dynamic, this is what I got.
With actor_generic:
* The npc works fine, no crashes, but the problem comes to walking and running, it is all choppy. When given a destination to go to, the npc will go there with what seems a working animation, bug it bugs out with the world ( or something ). Other given animation ( like "Wave" or "Sit" ) works good. With prop_dynamic:
* Tried to put walking or running animation on it - crashes hammer. Any other animation works fine. The walking and running animation works fine in Model viewer with no problems.
And here I am. Would be awesome if people who tried to make the human npc's to work, could respond to this and bring peace or salvation.
