i can see the wall behind the wall im looking at
i can see a wall (in hammer) that is behind another wall . like im looking on 1 wall and then i see the one behind it instead of seeing this one. how do i make this stop?

Could you perhaps post a screen shot of the issue? I think I know what you're describing (the problem not the fix, yet) but a picture is worth a thousand words. You may also want to upload your vmf file to the database so we can take a look at it.
ok i fixed it my cutsom texture was set to decal 1 
so nvm..
