Looking for a Musician. ( Free or very cheap ) Portal 2 Mod
Hello, I am pac0amster, the Developer of Portal 2: Abyss I am looking for talented musicians who are willing to work for free or very cheaply for helping my project.
The Mod itself tell the story of a military woman who get taken by the combine soldiers. While invading the Earth, the combine has partially taken over the Aperture Science Laboratories and they started experimentation over humans there. Things went wrong and you got lose.

The genre of the music I am looking for vary between the themes and differents areas. It will be mostly Orchestral and Electrical music.

My mod is a bit more Dark than Portal 2 itself. It also apply for the songs themselves. The major part of the Mod will happen in the Underground facility. It is mainly made of "behind the scene" and destroyed environement. I am looking for songs that fit this ambience.

I am thinking about at least 10 - 15 different songs. It may be more as the development goes.
This is a good opportunity if you are new or want to practice. You will be credited and you will also have rights to pretest the Mod during the development phase.
Being a fan or having a good background of Portal 2 would help a lot.

Wow nice. I thought that you abandomed abyss after kickstarter fail. Anyway wasent original concept that you fall of the road while being chasing by combine ?
However it would be super cool to se glados finally team up againts combine.
It will be first portal game to crossover with half life. Valves aperture and black mesa co-exist only on paper.
If you need not very talented mapper like me i would be honored to help.
Did you ask hary101uk for some soundtrack/voice acting ?
It would probably not be cheap but proffecional.
I recommend you make it yourself.
Best options would be either Reason (Harry101UK uses this) or FL Studio, of course their are others such as Ableton or Cubase but you need to have a degree in sound engineering to use them!
I just learnt from using Reason for the basic concepts and then I went onto FL Studio.

That's actually a good idea and I though about it. the main problem is that I have no money to buy these software. my only option would be to pirate them.
I honestly though about it but never really make any step in that direction. ( might be procrastination )

I changed the plot so it sound more interesting. I never figured out why we would be around the Aperture Lab when that place is far away from civilisation. and why would the combine chase after a random civilians in the middle of nowhere. So I changed it that they taken over the aperture labs and we were part of the military who was overwhelmed.
After the Kickstarter Failed, I didn't left the project rotting in a corner. Instead, I took more time to elaborate it and I need to take my time working on.
