<Subject Name Changes>
Quote from pestchamber on August 1, 2009, 5:13 pmNow, we discuss Portal, its story, its fails, impossible theories, possible theories, etc..
Now, if this goes as planned it should go as in the "is anyone still here?" thread, where we changed the subject alot. I thought it was stupid to keep talking about the wrong subject, in the wrong topic.
So yeah, where were we?
Oh right:
We were discussing if this theory holds:Quote:http://www.game-ism.com/2008/04/15/the- ... ct-part-3/

It's not that i'm saying that Chell ISN'T a clone, but if she is, i don't think this could prove it.
ASBusinessMagnet wrote:And there is a whole bunch of comments saying that Chell isn't an android either. For example, there's a toilet in a relaxation vault and handwriting - an android wouldn't write like a human. Now,

For the next part, The Cube as a Love Proxy Device, I believe it's actually true. Look at your signature.

I believe that the subject is meant to love the cube, though i have a hard time believing GLaDOS loves Chell - Even if Chell is a clone.

Remember, GLaDOS (originally Gladys Johnson, the CEO's wife and Chell's mother) still loves her daughter (even though she's a clone) and trapped in the facility (if theory holds) wants to be free (again), so she tells you to love the cube and later to kill it, as you will kill her (GLaDOS).
But I mean that not Chell actually loves the cube, but the players do.Quote:The Weighted Companion Cube has captured the hearts of hundreds of thousands that have played the game [...]

And ASBusinessMagnet,
For some reason i can't quote you,I'm confused GLaDOS means Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System, I never heard it should be related to a name, except for alot of props is located in a game folder called "Gladys_Destruction".

Perhaps GLaDOS was Glad[y]s Johnson, or some other similar name...
(or maybe I'm grasping at straws.)
GLaDOS goes insane, do the things being done to her mind.
The morality core maybe keeps her mostly sane.....
Just sane enough to realize whats happened to her, and to hate her existence.
Then, she sets you up to destroy it, and then when shes in her crazed state, her.

Quote from ASBusinessMagnet on August 1, 2009, 5:57 pmAnd there's another referrence that GLaDOS is pretty humanic, this time on Combine Overwiki:
Quote:"GLaDOS" is a pun with the words "glad", "DOS" ("disk operating system"), and Gladys, a female personal name (the game files show a folder called "gladdysDestruction").http://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/GLaDOS
EDIT: The case is supposedly closed:
Part 1 doesn't hold
