Missing textures/graphics?
Quote from Skyvanity on August 21, 2014, 8:28 pmOkay so I recently got Portal 2 from a friend on Steam and such. So I downloaded it onto my computer and all that stuff.
There's just a few problems. Whenever I start up any sort of gameplay, the screen's black. I can still hear everything going on, and I can see the crosshairs and subtitles. But nothing else. My friend showed me how to sort of fix it with "mat_postprocess_enable 0" but that doesn't fix all of the missing textures.
What's missing isn't too important, but it bothers me. There's no blue/orange "aura" around the portals, Chell looks completely green when I view her through the portals, and the barrier that fizzles objects passing through it is invisible. I'm unsure if there's others missing - as I've only been on the first level so far.
I've tried the "verify integrity of game cache" as well and this doesn't fix anything.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
