ive had portal for like 3 weeks now

im giving up because i cant get hl2 and i cant find an illigal download for source SDK

befor i go can anyone help me with one more thing?

when i play maps made by other people some walls have a pink checkerd
design on them and its making my brain hurt

is there like a texture pack i missing?
