You know what would make a great wallpaper? I don't know how possible this is but:
put a webcam in your living room, facing the tv, with a mic next to the tv's speakers.
Somehow have the wallpaper as a live feed of the webcam, with a picture of an open blue portal bordering it, so it looks like you have a portal to your living room tv on your monitor 
Any computer boffs want some internet fame? implement that ^
