Packed script isn't recognized on other computers.
Quote from Goldenknighttim on June 28, 2014, 3:21 amI've been told that this works, but this is my second time trying something like this and it's still not working. I created a very small script in /portal2/scripts/vscripts/Custom. I packed it with pakrat, and when I test it on another computer, the script doesn't run. The script has quotes in it, so I can't put it in the .vmf. I tried repacking a few times to make sure it wasn't some wild glitch. I tried moving the script to /portal2/scripts/vscripts so that it was in a folder that every computer with portal would have. Still not working. Does anyone know enough about this to help me solve my problem?

As long as the script is under the vscript folder, it should work out, you can also put it into whatever folder like you did (vscripts/custom) and will still work.
About pakrat, make sure that you locate it by browsing "All Files *.*" (not "All valid pack files"), and that you fix up the path when you pack it.
