Packing Soundscapes

Is it possible? Everyone says that you can't pack text files.

Soundscapes are one of things that will work when packed.

they should be under /scripts and be named relative to the name of your map.
e.g. scripts/soundscapes_mapname.txt

I know this because I used custom soundscapes for rattmann returns.

I just actually made quite a few custom soundscripts of my own :lol:

Don't forget to add the .txt file they're in to the manifest in both portal2/scripts and portal2_dlc1/scripts, otherwise the soundscripts won't work, you'll need to pak both these files in as well. :thumbup:

Actually, I just store all my custom content in portal2_dlc2. I don't need to get mixed up with files.

I use portal_dlc3, thats just cleaner than dlc2 :lol:

As long as you don't use any VPK overrides.

No, it doesn't unless you make one.

So can you pack soundscripts in a BSP? (As in, compatible with the workshop.) I have tried it in the past but could not get it to work... Maybe I missed something obvious.
