Hello all.
I've been a few months now on this and worked my ass off this week to put up this trailer and officially announce the development of my Portal 2 mod.
So far it's mostly a single man project (FP user brandonsh creating some animations for me),though that may change in the course of it's development.Story:
The player ,one of the thousands of subjects sealed in the old extended relaxation shafts is forcefully awoken by its pod's malfunction triggered by a shock trough the facility.
The events escalate...Media:
Here's the intro trailer

Gameplay I've made some time ago (still WIP):

A wheatfield test:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YY_HhVZmz6gMore media to come...after I get my sleep.
Will keep updating the thread with new content.

Quote from FourthReaper on August 18, 2012, 8:51 amThis is honestly the best intro I've seen for any mod thus far. (Sorry, other modders.)
I have no idea how you did the hands-holding-cable part, and I was in awe during the entire trailer. I saw a video of it a little while ago, but that only went to the observation annex/desk with bluescreen. I can't wait to see how this mod develops, you seem to be a great mapper and I hope the mod will have some good gameplay too.
By the way, you could totally make a horror mod for portal with those lighting skills, even though there aren't really any enemies. If this game had headcrabs or necromorphs I would be sufficiently spooked in some of those indoor corridor area's.

First time for me I let my brother do that with me watching. xD But a few years later it's just really neat, I recommend playing it as it harbors some of the most enthralling (standalone) maps in HL2. Not scary anymore, though good mapping might bring that back here. (Off-topic, though, as headcraps are a no-go in Portal 2...)

Quote from josepezdj on October 28, 2012, 4:14 amI have no words to describe those pictures. Man, incredible attention to detail and lighting. Those offices look damn realistic, in every single corner. The open areas are impressive too. I simply LOVE this picture dude, the structure of it all, those offices there and the big metal Aperture logo... awesome lighting!!!
I already said your introduction video was simply amazing...
Congratulations! this is going to be epic.
