Portal: Prelude

You're working on it since four full years and never talked about it or released anything ? When were you planning to release it ?

During the whole development process, we prayed every day that someone didn't have the same idea and would ruin our work a few weeks before the release. Now Ok, we did it. I can't really say I'm sorry, because I did nothing wrong, but I feel sad if it's the truth.

Quote from bizob on September 17, 2008, 12:54 amJust curious because this is something you can't really tell from a trailer, you need to play the mod to find out. What exactly is different about your mod compared to the original game? What did you modify?
It looks awesome and I will most certainly be downloading it. It's just that from the trailer alone it looks like just a very good map pack. I'm just one of those guys that's gotta know what's under the hood.

Quote from WackoMcGoose on September 18, 2008, 2:21 pmI am so excited for this new game! And I watched the official YouTube trailer (thank you, NykO18, for uploading the video in high quality ), and it looks extremely epic. However, I read somewhere (can't remember where) that the official release date is October 10th. Yes, really. We have to wait nearly a month, if this date is correct.
And I'm a bit concerned about the system requirements. The site says that any computer that can play the original can also play Portal: Prelude. But it also says that it has more graphics needs than the original. My card is DX9 at the software level, but only DX8 on the hardware level. (Which is probably why I can't get it to show the rippling effect in an unconnected portal .) I hope that my computer will still be able to play it... But I am amazed that ANY program (game or something else) needs an entire gigabyte of RAM. Luckily, I do have that much.

*fifty cakes fall out*
Time out for a second. That wasn't supposed to happen.
