Portal quits when I run my map!

This is different from the topic with a similar title. I've checked my compile log on the Interloopers website, and pressed contol+p on Hammer, an dthey both say there are no errors, and as far as I know, there are no boxes smaller that 1 unit. Yet whenever I run it through hammer or run it from the console on portal, once it's loaded, it closes portal, and that message comes up asking you to send the infomation. So what have I done wrong?

good thing you said that. and then posted everything you have tried, and the compile logs and such, cuz when i first saw this (only two spots above the other topic) i was like "WHAT THE FUCK? you got to be fucking kidding me!?"

it sounds like a video problem, i have had this before on episode 2. it could be that something your map is not friendly with however you have your video settings set in portal (well really any windows program) cuz that "send information" message means something crashed. and with Valve's "Source" engine and directX thats usually video related (not always. but all of MY crashes were video/directX related)
i have even played ALL the way through portal and had it not crash, but some of the user levels have done this to me. (not as much anymore but when i first got portal it did it a couple of times)

ok, so what should I do to fix it? Just check the video settings on portal?

What the fuck, I've never seen that error before. Are you running the Beta version of the SDK? Are you using a pirated version of Portal or the SDK?

Nope, it's the latest version of SDK and I bought portal off Steam. I don't really trust registery cleaners, too risky in my opinion

Looks like its just having an error creating a registry key. I would try refreshing the sdk content or possible re-installing the sdk.

If I re-install SDK, will I loose what I've saved (because it's in SDK folders) unless I save it somewhere else?
