Post your workshop maps here
Quote from AnaLoGMunKy on May 10, 2012, 3:51 amWooot! I made my first Portal 2 workshop map.
I would really like to put some cool stuff in this map but I have not used Hammer yet. Im pretty impressed with the Workshop editor so far, its certainly simple but at the same time very functional.
I hope they add more skins and doodads because I would really like to make my map look a lil more coooool. However, its still a good map and its a medium difficulty for experienced players but you dont need to be a portal ninja to do this.
Here is my MAP :
Ring Finger Solution on YouTube
If anyone has found any unintended solutions please let me know. (mostly so I can take away easy exploits, any ninja moves will be left in)
Thanks

I was playing through my queue, breezing through maps that must've taken their owners a few hours to make and then I hit this map that probably only took you 30 minutes to make and I'm stuck for the longest time before I finally figured it out. Total "eureka" moment to solve it, brilliant.
That said, here's my contribution to the thread: Portal Envy

Quote from Deign on May 10, 2012, 4:16 amGood evening everyone. New here, but I hope in the coming months I can become a good contributor to the site and the content. I look forward to learning new tricks and such from everyone else. That being said, I have made a few maps and would like some pointers on ways to improve. Here is a link to my workshop:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Deign/myworkshopfiles/The first map I made is fairly simple and straightforward but requires some timing and a small change in dynamic not seen in the original maps.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... d=68652811The second map I decided to combine many ideas into a single map, I fear I may have just made the whole thing too convoluted rather than fun, but I feel the individual levels themselves are decent fun.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... d=68692183This last map was a bit more of a concept I threw at myself to see what would happen. I had one idea when I started and when I finished, I figured out a better way to complete the level, but it was still fun to do so I kept the possibility in. The level is entirely solved using gels and only gels, which I remember being some of the more fun maps from the game. Especially levels with the white gel (name escapes me at the moment).
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... d=69129791I look forward to your constructive criticisms and hope to use it to improve my ideas and expand my horizons. If anyone else has some nice maps that demonstrate some really cool and unique concepts, I would love to play around with them as well. Thank you again and have a nice rest of your day =)

This is my first map ever. It could be a lot better but you have to start somewhere.

Quote from busymin on May 10, 2012, 7:00 amI've already made two maps of decent size in Portal 2 SDK, and, I must say, mapping is fun!
I try to add new non-standart methods that were'n revealed in original Portal 2.
Hope you'll enjoy it!

And I'm going to create lots of maps. Please check out my first map and leave your comments! Thanks in advance!

Quote from AnaLoGMunKy on May 10, 2012, 7:29 amI would love to know what you think of my Ring Finger lpfreaky90
By the way. If anyone wants to take my map and do stuff to it in Hammer please feel free, just give credit etc
(to allow others to edit it would I need to upload the actual bsp to TWP?)
