Quote from Kaleido on March 13, 2012, 6:52 pmAs far as I know, not a chance. Sorry.
The PS3 version comes with the PC version also, doesn't it? You should probably just get that.
There's no dev console on PS3 so you wouldn't actually be able to run maps, even if you could somehow copy them to your system...

Just provide the map on the command line. So I am thinking it might be possible with a jailbroken PS3.

Console = command line? Or do you mean portal2.exe -map <<mapname>>?
But yea; custom maps are currently pc/mac only
Maybe dlc 2 will fix that

Quote from josepezdj on May 3, 2012, 10:10 amOK, the way I see this is that you have to make a complete new game with all neccessary PS3 files into its required folders specifically to run them into a PS3, ofc jailbroken. I have successfully jailbroken 2 PS3 and played many games... It's not so complex to run the games only if you didn't upgrade the firmware to the latest versions (I think only 3.41 firmware can be jailbroken... which btw you have to get and to install on yourr PS3 (not so easyly) as all the new PS3 models have already installed newer versions from factory).
Anyway, Apart from installing the basic game files into the console, the rest is just a folder with the game ID as name, with all the required files in their right folders, that you can simply have it into an external HDD (sometimes into the internal PS3's HDD is required to be able to run the game though)... but you cannnot pretend to simply run the map released here which is made for pc/mac without the required files for the PS3...
