Reactivating dead turrets
Quote from Hen7 on January 19, 2008, 3:51 amHey, I want to make a map with friendly turrets that you can reactivate after they die, but when I'm picking them up and place them they don't reactivate again like the Combine turrets, Is there any way to make them to?
Also, is there a way to make the HL2 NPCs work normally?, Combine soldier for example don't make a sound when shooting etc.
Thanks.

I don't think they are programmed to reactivate when friendly, since you don't meet friendly turrets in the game. Maybe you should look on the VDC, or on the TWP-wiki.For the soldiers:
I think you're missing certain files that show the sounds the Combine soldiers should make, they're all .txt-files, can't remember what they were called/where you can find them, I don't even know if they are the files you need. It's all part of game optimisation: why add things you're not gonna use anyway? If it's not in the game Portal, it's not in its files, with a few exceptions.
