Red Boxes...?

I opened up the map in Hammer, and I found that there where red these red boxes around everything! How can I get rid of them?

Those boxes are to show where models are, when viewed from great distance, so that not all models have to be rendered all the time. Zoom in on a box and it should change into the model it represents.

Or if you mean red boxes set out like a grid, that means that you have the 3D grid switched on. One of the buttons above the view windows switches it off.
