Scammer Alert
Quote from Mapster on July 20, 2008, 5:51 pmI had someone message me on steam posting a message questing that i send them my account log in information in order to avoid having my account strip off me be illegal use of third party programs or something like that.
Remember these types of messages are there to scam you into getting your log in info sine they are too noob at life to buy the games their self.
DO NOT give our your information to ANYONE, even these types of people that claim to be the head of Valve or Steam. The real members from Valve have your log in info stored on their server so they have no need to ask your for your log in info since all they need to do is (right-click + ban)
Even on this forum our profile information can be changed such as our name, rank, signature, avatar and so on... the Admins on this forum will NOT ask you for your log in info just as the members of Valve won't.
