Worldportals can be portalled through. The only worldportal actually used in the game is used on a grating that you need to portal through. Bug you might want to know about: if you shoot a portal through a worldportal onto a non-portalable surface, the particle effect will appear to come from where the player actually is, not through the portal (visual only).

I don't know if you know what I mean, but I mean putting a room behind a worldportal, and portaling to that room, not the one the worldportal connects to.
