Probably not, they did it for Dota 2 because it's a MOBA and it's going to be around for a while. They don't have a reason to update games that have already had their fame like Portal 2 and HL2.

Those are pretty epic looking. The bridge is already fairly easy to do, but if this new hammer is going to be this fast, I really hope this means hl3/ep3 will be out faster
