I'm quite surprised how many different ways people are activating that laser-power cube dispenser.

Quote from dvlstx on September 3, 2011, 7:42 pmThat's happened to me a few times. Typing "reload" in console usually gets it running.
I'm not sure why this happens, as it seems to be random.

Quote from KennKong on September 4, 2011, 4:27 amA fairly decent puzzle in an attractive setting. I enjoyed playing it.
As others have noted, you can get stuck
if you put the normal cube on the button. I was surprised that hitting the laser target again didn't fizzle it and drop a new cube.
I also saw weirdness at the exit, like looking through an infinite regression of portals slowly filling with light. Once inside, it cleared up.
Summary: Looks good, puzzle difficulty medium, player skill medium, fun to play. A solid 4/5 from me.

You're a very astute watcher. Yes, it's my note's touchpad.

Quote from brianuuu on September 4, 2011, 1:07 pmNice map, I didn't find that normal cube dropper at first.
Also, there might be a glitch of the lower floor laser cube dropper, sometimes the cube won't fall. And here is my gameplay

Quote from dvlstx on September 4, 2011, 1:27 pm@Portal2Two, I haven't seen anyone do it the way I intended, but the most common method is to
open the trapdoor with one laser cube, then use the other to shine it thru a portal on the white wall directly opposite the laser
I'm actually pretty happy that people are coming up with different ways to do it.If people are getting the exit glitch with the updated map, then I haven't the slightest idea how to fix it. The logic system in place should be pretty foolproof

Quote from pfalstad on September 4, 2011, 3:47 pmGreat puzzle, very clever. I needed my daughter's help to figure out how to open the exit door. (She's watching over my shoulder as I type this.)
I also thought I needed to put the normal cube on the button
, but she figured out that was a mistake.
To get the normal cube, I
used a cube to divert the top laser beam into a wall with a portal on it, jumped down, put the other portal on the wall opposite the dispenser and kept adjusting it until the cube fell out
.

Quote from quatrus on September 6, 2011, 1:53 pmVery nice map. Enjoyed the big room and puzzle, just wish there was something else going on inside the expanse - even just visual. Like everyone else I put the cube on the button - mistake and had to retrieve. No problem on exit.
Thanks for creating - look forward to more.

You really thought this through, great puzzle, great visuals, excelent animation-smooth. I noticed the problem with the cube cause I had to go swimming to start over. My nephew played the map as well and I noticed he used the portals more efficently then me and didn't have to walk as much.
I'll be looking forward to more of your maps.
Thanks!
