[SP] Beginning of the End
Quote from Djinndrache on September 8, 2011, 5:55 amI'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:NIuyRO8rinc

Quote from nikdangr on November 26, 2011, 6:57 pmYour instructions for loading a vpk file don't work for me. The console tells me there is no such file. I haven't been able to run ANY vpk files. Every place I look for instructions says something different. I have the folder "...portal 2/portal 2/addons" I put the vpk file in there. I started the game. I pulled up the console with the main menu on the screen - nope! I pulled the console up after starting a new game - nope!
I followed STEAM'S own frigging directions here https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Releasing_A_Portal_2_Map - nope!
Not everyone is a geek. I (and others, I've noticed) need DETAILED, BABY-STEP BY BABY-STEP instructions how to run these frigging things. I need to know exactly what screen needs to be up at every step. I need to know every goddam keystroke. NOTHING is too small to be included.

Quote from Lpfreaky90 on August 6, 2014, 11:14 amIt's inconvenient that this map has a vpk, since dlc broke this method of releasing maps as vpks.
In order to still be able to play this map and make it easy to delete the files here's my step-by-step guide.
1. Go to http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=26 and download GCFscape.
2. Install GCFscape
3. Download this map
4. Go to steamapps/common/portal 2/ and create a portal2_dlc3 folder here.
5. open the vpk with GCFscape
6. Select everything on the right side, and right click extract, extract to your new portal2_dlc3 folder.
7. browse to the portal2_dlc3/maps folder remember the name of the bsp
8. Launch Portal 2
9. type in map <<mapname>>
