twisting the pole wouldn't do jack. but if you placed the bottom portal at a slightly off angle you would start to spin; like. you ever try to do the terminal velocity setup... and have the bottom (or top for that matter) slightly askew? man you start spinning . the more askew the faster you start spinning

Well, the problem with that would be that only prop_physics can cross portals, not prop_dynamics. Then again, it would be a nice idea... maybe you'd have to parent the pole (prop_physics) to itself.
