The Portal Achievements Aren't There?

Recently I beat Portal, got the cake and the Companion Cube, the advanced levels, and I saved and junk. Yet I don't see where the Portal Achievement list is. I've done the Party Goer achievement as a test, yet nothing happens. What's wrong?
NOTE: I use the PS3 version of the Orange Box.

I thought on the PS3 they store the achievements in the game menu?

By that do you mean the Portal game menu or the menu with all of the games?

The one with the games if Im not mistaken, my friend has a PS3

I checked and it's not there.

Obviously your problem is the fact that you bought a PS3.
