The Unfinished Portal Maps Thread!

Hi all! Something like this is set up at interlopers, and I really like it. Basiclly you post screenshots of your old/abandoned portal mapping projects, for others to see/rate/critiuqe/convince you to continue it!

This is for projects you either never finished, lost interest in, or just plain forgot and never released. Here, I'll start:

This map is quite old, about 4 months as a matter of fact. It was for a project I never finished, and will probably never be released due to the fact that it is low quality (IMO) and has many brush problems, as well as bieng very dark. And it lags, alot.

Seems like it needs a bit of dusting, some screws need to be tightened, and some optimization needs to happen.

Uhhhh....keep going?

I hate hanging with angry people. Why live life if your not having fun ALL the time? =)

I have a lot of maps on my Source SDK content folder that either were never intended to be released or were intended to be released but were never announced, and often consisted of one day of work.

As for projects that WERE announced, there was only one but I think everybody should know about that.

Trivia: this is the very second account I registered with the nickname ASBusinessMagnet, after my YouTube channel.

Neither of these were problems I noticed. Five screenshots is certainly not too many.

Woah, did you make the bottom 3 pictures? The lighting in them is outstanding.

Walking when you have a portal gun sucks.

Here's the screens from my old project Glass Prison following the release of the first portal. I had additional chambers nearly done, but stopped working on it when I realized that people who were testing it, and said they liked it, weren't progressing through the puzzles because they were too hard, and that I was the only one that had finished all the puzzles.

Those combine energy shields were an element I was using that would allow portals to be shot through it, but not allow the player to pass through. It served part of the function that the new hard light bridges serve, but they can do a lot more :)

I'm planning to start a co-op chamber after I graduate college (hopefully in a couple of weeks.) It would be nice if the sdk were released then too :P
