well, in another map (only bug i see as troubling), there is one of these giant models way below the map (wheatley chamber), and you can shoot a portal on it too and walk on the bottom of the map below the fade trigger. Other than little things like that, valve does a great job making their games fun and immersive.

There was a part in one of the early destroyed chambers, just before Wheately shows you the "secret passage", where the aforementioned passage is clearly visible through a gap in the scenery.

I realise you can also see back into the chamber from inside the passage, so it may not have been a mistake, but I still find myself bothered by the huge black area of nothingness surrounding the scenery. It looks like something that wasn't meant to be seen.

This is not a mapping problem really, but someone pointed out that some animations of models play the 'oh fiddlesticks what now' sound when a sound is missing. Tsk tsk valve.
