Vertical button not working properly!

Hello.

I have a vertical button in my map where the player is supposed to crash into. The problem is the trigger_multiple entity. After some fumbling I figured that the trigger_multiple actually triggers only if the player's feet enter it. Another problem I have is that it triggers way too early for the sphere object. It is as if the sphere has a very 'wide' collision model concerning the trigger_multiple.

And last, although the trigger_multiple is configured correctly for the func_door that is the parent of the button_top, the func_door sometimes does not close after opening, even when I'm not on the button.

Does any of you have experience making a vertical button?
Any help is greatly appreciated, casue I've been stuck on this problem for a couple of hours now.
