Where do I have to put the maps I download here to play them?

Most likely:

Portal 2: C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappscommonportal 2portal2maps
Portal 1: C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamapps<steamuserid>portalportalmaps

Then you have to use the developer console (there's a keybind for that in the options menu somewhere) and type "map <mapname>" to start an individual map.
