[WIP] Labrynth
Quote from Kingpin on August 25, 2008, 9:14 amHello, I started making this map about 4-5 months ago, and have put it off for a LONG time but I intend on finishing it soon. It is my first map, and so if there is anything wrong with it in any way, you know why. Im trying to build up a sort of 'greenhouse' theme with lighting and that, probably why the first room looks as it does.
In the second puzzle room, the one with the lava pit, I want the doors on the left of it to open in a line. So like the first one opens as you enter the room and then maybe half a second later, the second one opens...etc, I have absolutely no idea how to do that. Also, there is a door on the roof in the second puzzle room which is linked to a timer, however when I press the button, the timer is set off but the timer sound doesn't continue after the first beep, once again I need help with that. Apart from those difficulties, I am cruising along with it and should have it done in a few months if I commit to it as much as I hope.
Heres a short little video of me going through the first puzzle and the start of the second, once again, it is my first ever mapping experience.

Other then that, it looks like you are doing well. But the button needs a trigger so the player can hold it down with his/her weight. Nice work so far.

The more you give, the less appreciated it will be received.

The second room is coming nicely though, theres just one thing wrong concerning a standing button which doesn't fully set off a timer but my mate has fixed it up.
