The story takes place deeper underground in the Enrichment Center. GLaDOS is built up higher some where and GLaMS-DOS (which I assume is Genetic Lifeform and Microsoft Disk Operating System) is built lower. they don't know anything about each other becuase communications were severed somewhere in between them. GLaMS-DOS is running a stable version of AI built by Microsoft (hey, they make games with AI) While GLaDOS has an unstable AI becuase it is a reverse engineered version of Microsoft's version that didn't come out well. GLaMS-DOS and GLaDOS run the same procedures while GLaDOS sits up top running alpha's, beta's and so on till the get a stable version. (parts of your scenario here) GLaMS-DOS is, well, not as harsh as GLaDOS.GLaDOS wrote:I'm going to kill you, and all the cake is goneGLaMS-DOS will use a different approach.
My version of GLaMS-DOS wrote:These rocket turret's have safety turn on, don't worry about them shooting you.... You aren't suppossed to me here, there are turret's all over the place and they will kill you.now, to get off of the subject of GLaMS-DOS let me talk about what I think the levels currently look like (in my veiw). They are equipped with state of the art technology, and are clean with a darker, more appeasing look. *lost train of thought* Maybe make the puzzles longer? It's taking my new maps about 1 minute to compile these days. *gained a little bit of thought* The scientists (supposedly Kleiner, don't know who else) are taking notes and typing up info on the computer.

Quote from Cyclone on June 15, 2008, 12:38 amI also like the ice cube model; very clean, very cool looking (no pun intended). My question is though, how will it work in game? Is it just a cube with reduced friction, or can it actually melt? That would make for some great timed puzzles, though I have to wonder how the source engine would handle melting - particles maybe?

Okay, I have multiple choces. Here's the pattern for the maps:
Level 00: Wake up, and see how the Ice Cube works (The portal gun can't shoot portals).
Level 01: Timing puzzle without timers with the Ice Cube.
Level 02: Training with the No-Initial-Velocity Fling following a little surprise.
Level 03: Long puzzle with classic flings, timed portals, No-Initial-Velocity Fling, and an Ice Cube.
Level 04: Little surprise.Note: The No-Initial-Velocity Fling is a unnamed fling I make you do in Logic Portals 01, on the first fling, where you enter the first portal with no initial velocity.
The choices are:
-I release more long puzzles, going over level 04, before releasing Logic Portals : GLaMS-DOS.
-I release the mod to get comments more rapidly for correction.About the personnality of GLaMS-DOS, I still have to think about it, because he won't kill you for his reasons or other's reasons. The death is only a way to test the subject, not an objective.
