Projected Textures No Longer Compile Right?

Hey all,

Has anyone else been experiencing problems when compiling your maps, with regards to projected textures? In a map I've been working on, after the June 17th update, most of my projected textures seem to only project the shadows of the geometry, static props, and dynamic props of their choosing.

If anyone else has been experiencing this, is there a way to fix the bug?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there Tmast98,
just experienced the same problem here but it's not the bsp-file file which compiles correctly but the way Portal handles the projected texture lights/shadows ingame. Was able to verify this on my son's computer which hasn't the latest updates.
Apart from that I can no longer ALT+TAB switch from Hammer to Portal without crashing the game If it does switch correctly (which is seldom the case) it takes awfully long to do so....

Here's a comparison:
After update:

Before:

The difference is pretty obvious, I think...

PS: It's easier to see if you open each page in seperate tabs and switch between both.

Even easier if you do this.

Other than the shadows starting late, I see nothing wrong. Is there anything else I'm not noticing?
Anyways, my friend apparently fixed everything by doing something along the lines of deleting his last update, reinstalling a previous working update, and then dosabling updates. Hopefully someone understands how to do that. Ill try to post when I can get a hold of him.

Well, as Tmast98 pointed out some of the items don't cast shadows at all, which might not be obvious in the screenshot I took. Anyways, I will simply try to copy the installation from my son's computer hoping to get rid of that...

PS: For some reason embedding the images didn't work at once for me and I haven't had the time to mess around with it any longer. Sorry!

ADDENDUM: Forgot to add that I will of course disable "updates" unless I hear that something super important has been added - and works without messing up everything...
