I got a problem.Last time I compile my map it's all good. But when I add another room, and 2 linked_portal_doors,things go wrong.Hammer reports leak on every entity.Like,I delete entities one by one, another entity is reported leak. When I delete them all,it just says leak and point to nothing.Only when a big box is built, there's no more leak.So how to deal with this situation?

Load a point file and follow the majestic red line. It will start somewhere outside your map and will weave in through your leak. Sometimes, especially with props, the leak happens because an entity origin is outside the map. To open a point file, go to map>load point file, then click 'yes'

oh great now I finally find leaks. There's a lot.
but in fact I can't load the point file because the hammer doesn't make point file for my map .

Pointfiles aren't generates if either there are no entities in your map or the leak is just extremely big.

For future reference, deleting the offending entity will never fix a leak (unless the entity is outside the map). A leak is caused when there's a gap or hole in the map. It simply picks the closest entity and says that that entity leaked.

Like said, the only way to fix a leak is to make sure your geometry is completely sealed. If you don't know where the gap is, that's when you use a pointfile.

Also, make sure the entity is not outside the map unless it's an instance.

Hello. So you have a leak! Not to worry its easy to find. Go to Map>Load Point-file it will show you what is leaking and it will point to the leak. Hope ive helped!
