Puttin in custom music

I downloaded some custom music for portal mapping, but i dont know how to get them in the hammer editor. any help?

Whoa, that's crap. The files that Valve uses for music are 128kbt mp3s inside of the portal content GCF file. Unless they're only talking about soundFX and music can be mp3.

Yep, mp3s work just fine. Be aware, however, that you can't preview them from within Hammer. They will work fine in-game though.

I need help. Im trying to put it in the files, and I do, but when I search for it in the sounds in hammer, it doesnt show up

  1. my sig was not a pyramid scheme. its a game. all you have to do is make a username and password. you dont have to give your info
