I'm working on map packs called Blue Portal Maps (As yet so far) I'm planing to do 12 chambers in all. I have yet to put in custom textures. Feel free to comment or give ideas for puzzles. I still have Chamber 02 on paper.

I tryed... A grate will not fit. besides, you will never fly that high without nocliping anyway...
Ok, those maps are finished. I compiled it with no leaks or errors. Now, I need to make a design for Chamber 02.

Um what? How can a brush you make by hand not fit?

You tell me.. Heres a picture.

As you can see, The fan is deeper then the ceiling itself. Lifting the fan will result to look crappy.

Call me crazy, but I think it looks worse having the fan exposed and below the ceiling line like that.

I thought it looks more realistic like that. I can raise it, but it may effect the Cubemap making it shine. I'll try.
That looks much better! It's little things like this that make maps come alive. Just think of how you would build something in real life...you just don't slap four walls, a floor and a ceiling together and call it a room. It needs accents, little defects and something that makes it unique.
