This is a Black Mesa-themed skin for the storage cube. I made it using Paint.NET (an excellent free tool). There's a good chance I'll update it soon with a matching skin for the WCC.

Enjoy!
Here's the link.

First to download it, and what I can say - this belongs to Black Mesa-like modified version of Portal. It just doesn't fit into Aperture Science environment.

I know it's a tad bright/brash for Aperture Labs, but ah well, it's something different.
So, do you like or dislike it?

I was thinking, "How about a Black Mesa Weighted Storage Cube?" And I'm GLaD this skin came out. This was a first cube skin I've ever downloaded. That's how I like it.

You should have added caution strips and such. But other then that it looks pretty good.

I've seen this skin before but I can't remember from where. It wasn't here.

Sorry for my lack of understanding, but...which caution strips are you referring to? Glad to hear you like it, by the way.

I posted it a while back on myApertureLabs. I had a different username back then--Companion Cube, which has since been changed to WinstonSmith--, and it was before I had a TWP account.

Looks nice! I just made a set of dark cubes, and I'm working on some ideas for other cubes.

That looks so retro.

Caution strips as the extended parts, black inner cube, and black mesa logo?

I'm lost as to what you mean.

Black inner, Canton strips on the outer edges, Black Mesa Logo in the center were the aperture logo is. Also, orange lights instead green as shown there. .

I'll work on something like that but that looks nice. It's hard to get nice looking stripes on the outside pieces, because they don't always match up unless you do a bunch of work. That I'm going to do.

I think I may know what you mean. I'll work on it and post a screenshot in a bit.

How close is this to what you mean?

By extended parts, do you mean the smaller cube-type-thingies sticking out of the corners of the main cube?
Also, good to know you like it. I've just started working on a pack of skins for many different objects (got a fair amount of good ideas), and I may include that.
