Personally I go to cons to wear costumes, get my picture taken, and drink myself into oblivion. I'm not big on going to panels or buying things or visiting the celebrity zoo.

I'd like to thank whoever wrote that nice little snippet of code for giving me a chance to actually use the orientation lock on my iPad.

Also, the new game rules are a bit over the top.
In other news, Valve announced a new version of Hammer!

The round doors in Portal and Portal 2 are in the running for the WinstonSmith Least Favorite Game Design Thing award. If there's a single thing I'd change about them, it would be the depth of the frame model. As it is, the brushes that have to form the wall around it need to be a specific number of units apart so that it doesn't clip into the front of the model or leave space behind the frontmost part of the model/z-fight with the moving segments. This means that it's a really unwieldy 12-unit deep door that doesn't align with textures correctly, so I always have to fudge it.
Anyways. Rant over. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't feel like making another topic for this, so I'll just ask here: is submitting files currently broken? I filled out the entire form, but the Submit File button is still gray. I can't figure it out. This is what I'm seeing:
I blame dodgy CSS rules.

I always use the thicker p2 model /p1 border model, because it lets you make the wall one tile thick, and while that doesn't work well with thinner walls, it works for general use.

The whole thing's going to be pretty dodgy while Headstand Awareness Day continues
But the submit button not working is a known bug. Since multiple users have now reported it, I'll just disable it until such time as I can figure out what's wrong.
