I was looking on YouTube for some Portal 2 commentary playthroughs,

I managed to find one that actually made me feel less intelligent than before watching the video.

I present to you, a woman who calls Wheatly 'Mr eyeball'... view the video.

I can understand new people getting a little confused, but my god...this is insane.

I have followed her through the entire playthrough purely because I enjoy the consistent facepalms that occur to me ever time I hear her say something stupid, I found this a while ago, and it is bad, reeeeeaaally bad.

It was just the point in that video where she keeps going through the same routine, place blue portal...back where you started...place blue portal...back where you started.

I felt like yelling at the computer screen. Far out.

That video is the result of a combination of things:

1) The account is partnered, therefore the more videos the LP is strected out over (aka the slower she plays) the more money she makes. Because she makes money of wether the content is good or not, she no longer cares.
2) She is just a typical new console player, who would get nearly twice as much play time as portal connoisseurs.
3) She is also a dumb white redneck for the states. Just sayin'

I call a wee bit o' trolling. I have a feeling the player is simply acting in a manner that will cause flaming, violent arguments, ridicule, and above all more views/traffic.

No doubt. On the internet...virtually everything is influenced by a bit of troll action.

Once again. Partnered YouTube accounts. Generating video views is her job and she's paid on commission. This thread itself is testament to how good a job she is doing. "omg look how shit she is doing.... " this makes more people want to see what all the hype is about, more views, more money. This is an inherent problem with YouTube and I personally believe it needs to be fixed a soon as possible. Partnered accounts are indeed a great way to ensure premium content will continue to be published to the social media site, but people are exploiting the system with troll videos to generate views. But no one with the power to change it will, because in the end, they still generate alot of revenue for google.

I only lasted a minute on that video. Then I shot myself.

Give her video thumbs down! The more people hate it the better and the less likely anyone would watch it.

Too bad I don't have a YouTube account... yet. I made a few commentary recordings for L4D2 and I couldn't believe how funny my voice was when I viewed them. Usually I was screaming at a Tank.

Well, when you usually hear your voice, it's reverberating through the bones in your ears, so it always sounds stupid as he'll on video. Just, uh, thought you might like to know.

EDIT: Also, to add something of SOME consequence to this thread, she has gotten slightly more intelligent as she goes on, insofar as a faker can gain in intelligence. I just watch her series for something to do.
