Playthroughs this dumb can certainly be real, my band's drummer was like this when he played Portal 1 (then again, he's a drummer, I'm surprised he could play a PC game). This is also why I'm afraid of playing Portal 2 with my girlfriend. She is awful at puzzle games, though I finally convinced her to play through Portal 2 because she loves J.K. Simmons.
