Guys, I quickly wrote the Portal story below. If anyone could comment and add important events (like Chell's origin) I'd appreciate it.

1943:
Cave Johnson is a shower curtain salesman.

1944:
Cave Johnson buys a salt mine to build Aperture Science.

1947:
Cave Johnson starts up Aperture Science.

1980's:
After testing the Conversion Gel, Cave Johnson gets sick and orders his engineers to create artificial intelligence, which is shown on Portal 2 Lab Rat page 11.

Cave Johnson wants to put his mind inside it, and says if he dies, he wants Caroline to run Aperture Science. He also implies Caroline's mind might also be put in his computer. Cave Johnson dies. I believe his DoD is after 1986 since the last science sphere has this date on it.

While building the AI (Glados) Cave ordered, Aperture Science engineers find out that Glados tries to kill everybody using neurotoxin the second she's turned on (Lab Rat page 11). So they built a "conscience" sphere to put on her, which is shown on Lab Rat page 14.

Glados ends up killing everybody in Aperture Science during the "Bring your daughter to work day".

<centuries passes by>

Portal 1 begins:
Chell wakes up in the Aperture Science labs and Glados forces her to test and eventually tries to kill her.
Chell kills Glados. Chell exits Aperture Science and is dragged back in by some sphere (Lab Rat page 13).

(I believe this sphere is Weathley, since the sphere's color is pink- the same color on the "conscience" sphere the engineers built (Lab Rat page 14). In Portal 2, Glados tells Weathley that he was the sphere engineers put on her to regulate her).

Chell is put in stasis in the "relaxation" center.

<some centuries passes by>

Portal 2 begins:

Chell is awaken by Weathley
Chell and Weathley powers up Glados
Weathley goes crazy when Chell puts him in charge when attempting to defeat Glados
Glados and Chell partner up to kill Weathley
Chell kills Weathley and escapes from Aperture Science Labs

Chell's origin:
Not much is known. Her name is shown in a drawing from the "Bring your daughter to work day".

How Wheatley could be that pink core? Because in the end of Portal 2 you plugged pink core into Wheatley? Also, you wrote "Wheatley" always as "Weathley".

If you see the lab rat page 14, the very last picture, there's a side view of a scientist holding the inhibition core and it has a pink eye.

I also remember from the game that Glados says Wheatley was the dampening sphere scientists put on her to make her behave.

I do know and remember what GlaDOS said to Wheatley. But it is impossible to Wheatley drag Chell back to inside of Aperture Labs, Wheatley got no legs to move by himself, except rails, as you can remember you had to carry him to move forward, and I think it was Party excor robot who dragged Chell back inside.
But that is good pointing that Wheatley could be the "pink" core from P1.

I hope that's sarcasm, because there is not a Pink core in Portal 1, but there is a purple core.

Actually the story is pretty complex. I hope there will be more about it in Portal 3, even though Chell seems to have finally left the Aperture Laboratories and GLaDOS in the end of P2.
Maybe Wheatley builds up something on the moon?
