Tiny map with a single puzzle in the destroyed/overgrown theme. Short but sweet.

Cheers! Like you said in your Workshop comment, it's pretty easy, but this was more of a test of the concept than anything else and a chance to work on my visual design skills in a small space.

The puzzle is good enough, but clumsy... Really clumsy....

- The faith plate has no function since you can simply portal yourself up there again
- You can't see what the buttons actually do! Why? Place the funnels so that you can see them
- The final fling to get to the exit was just clumsy in my opinion

The aesthetics are also good enough, but they wont win any awards. The map needs more details.

- What is up with the sideways texture by the entrance that makes your portal place itself sideways?

@Logic:
The fact that you can't see the funnel is kind of the point. You can use the two sideways portals to see what you're doing - hence the title. You're supposed to bounce yourself off the faith plate into the lightbridge to make the fling - If you do that you'll make it every time. The fact that you made it without that is a failing on my part.

Aha, hmm. It's probably the fact that you can do it without looking through the portals that makes the puzzle bad in my opinion. It was almost impossible to do the fizzler/ball/funnel puzzle in Double Bill.

I did figure if out that you were supposed to use the light bridge/faith plate to make the final jump, but I had already solved it in another way at that point.

The last post had a bit of a dark tone to it. It's not a bad map. But I would have gone with a different approach to the puzzle-elements. How about this as an idea for the funnel-puzzle:

Just a though No, cleaver idea on the fling to the final door part though...

I've updated the map so the fling is impossible without the bridge, but I've got a good idea about the other puzzle I'm just gonna test out... Watch this space. Cheers for the feedback at any rate!

EDIT: Yeah, my idea worked! I think it'd be very difficult to solve it randomly now....

I guess I just missed the portal placements, but I had difficulty getting a decent line of sight to the funnel. I liked the combo fling to the exit. This was a good little puzzle, and I'd like to see it included in a longer series of test chamber. 4/5.

KennKong: Thanks for playing. The best view is from using the two sideways portal helpers - that's as good as I could get it but admittedly still not perfect. It's a little bit of a restriction with the puzzle idea itself.... Glad you enjoyed it at any rate. I've been thinking about remixing some of my recent maps into a longer test at some point (probably at the end of the year) so you way well see that.

I left a comment on the workshop page, but I wanted to add a few further remarks here. As I said, the chamber was very enjoyable and there were no real problems with my play through and the chamber's construction. The final fling at the end was a stroke of genius, as far as I'm concerned, and I'd like to see more puzzles involving it. For example: fling yourself via the lightbridge to turn on some blue gel, then fling yourself into the bridge and bounce off it, using the gel to reach a new area.

Cannot work out the final fling
No, scratch that. I did it by accident!

Have updated the map to remove two exploits that let people fling in a way that skips the final part of the puzzle and fixed a couple of minor visual issues.
