Testing Focus: Surface Division Fields
Difficulty: Easy
Expected Play Time: Not that long

To amplify your testing experience, do not start playing here, play Penrose 01 and 02 first for a better understanding of the concept.

This third map makes a little more use of logic regarding the two-way Surface Division Field, and shows how this testing element can produce gravitational faultlines and provide one-way corridors. It also allows for the use of flinging in puzzles, and I hope to maximize this potential in future test chambers. Maps will procedurally get harder as we progress through the test course.

Also, can you find and complete the easter egg? This one is one of my most thorough yet, and took me quite a while to finish. For loyal fans of Hoopy, I put him in there somewhere for you to find!

It took me a while to find time to work on this one, but here it is, Penrose 03. I hope you all won't be disapointed, even if it may be little easy for you here on TWP, and I thank you for you patience. If you want more tests as soon as they are released, subscribe to me and I'll make it worth your while.

Check back for more maps in the future. Please provide feedback, and if you would be so kind, vote.

Changelog:

Version 1.0
- Map Release

Of course it's hard lp, wouldn't be rewarding if it wasn't right? Anyway, thanks for sharing the playthrough.

Really great map - I am enjoying this series. Maybe I'm a complete idiot but the only way I was able to find Hoopy was by no clipping and checking out the sights? Did I miss something? I see there is certainly some behind the scenes type of stuff going on there but couldn't figure out how to access.

Thanks a lot.

And yes, you did miss something. And no, you are probably not a complete idiot, although to be fair I don't know you well enough to be sure.

No rush man, take all the time you need. It's gonna' take me a while to release a new map anyway.

Haha, sorry! Don't worry about it though, she cheated. A LOT. Then again, she tore the map apart and broke my exit door with a cube. *

Nicely Done! Found it - the sad part is that I looked down there before and completely missed the portable surface.

I'm such a dolt. I found the BTS area first thing and I thought all the turrets were a part of the original map. It sure made completing it more difficult. Aw well, I needed the practice killing turrets.

I came across two small problems. At some point, I got a big blue error sign in place of one of the models. It was located in one of the turret cubby holes, but I can't be more specific because I was running for my life at the time. When I returned later to kill the turrets, it didn't show up. The other problem was that the slanted wall panel didn't activate the first time I put the cube on its button, so it left me wondering for quite some time what exactly it did.

Other than that, it was a fun map to play (without the turrets),and I thought it was more "puzzly" than your previous maps, which I liked.

Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it. One thing though, could you maybe put some of the spoiler sensitive stuff in spoiler tags? You can see here which parts I thought are spoilers. Thanks!

Does the easteregg have to do with bringing both of the cubes all the way back? I did that, and then just had to fizzle them.

Nope Me breaking the puzzle had to do with the two cubes though
